This has been the most terrible week ever! There are a lot of more serious, and complicated factors but lamely enough my real problems don't have me half as down as the fact that I broke my Iphone! It's a long story but basically it was submerged under water for a long, long time. And it wasn't my fault(which everyone says but it's true, take it or leave it). Anyway, so now I have no phone, no ipod, no anything else. And I am too poor to buy another. So on top of my stressful and mediocre life this happens? Wow, wollowing in self pity much?
So I posted earlier about my skin and it still isn't better. So I made another apointment with my derm to see about my acne and the little white bumps under my eyes I mentioned earlier. I am thinking about requesting accutane. My mother (a doctor) also recomend it. Anyone been on it? Recomendations, tips?
I have a ton of little bump (they aren't a color really) under and above my eyes up to my brows. They are gross. Anyone have them? Do you know what they are called? And how can I get rid of them?
Today I ordered two palettes from Coastal scents, the neutral palette and the blush palette. i forget the actual names but oh well. They are super pretty and have gotten great reviews so far. I can't wait. I also ordered some E.L.F Make up because I was pretty pleased with my other purchses. Can't wait for everything to get here!
So I got a major haul because after haunting a million beauty blogs for a long time I finally decided to actually buy myself some brushes! I heard elf was good (and cheap which is the biggest factor for me personally since I am poor LOL) so I gave it a shot. I threw in a couple of eye shadows and lip glosses and face shimmers and blushes and a mascara because they are 1 dollar. Yeah, one dollar. And overall I am pretty pleased. The mascara is dual ended, with water proof and normal on each end respectively. I like the regular (I am wearing it now for a test run) and so far so good. The eye shadows are well pigmented though they aren't super quality. The lip plumper is okay with a fun tingly feeling though it tastes odd. I haven't tried my lip gloss yet. The face shimmer is a little strong as far as shimmer goes and so is the blush so I will use those way sparingly in the future. But over all for the price the make up is fan-tastic!
The brushes are also a great, great value. Don't quote me but I think it was twelve brushes for 12.00. So yeah. And the brushes i have used are great. They are soft, but not wimpy and peta friendly, which is another bonus. Now since I have only used two other make up brushes, and yeah, I know thats sad, I don't have a ton of knowledge on the subject and can't compare them to say MAC.
So over all I am super pleased and will for sure be going back there. I hear they have good mineral make up and such :0
So, first of all, to get this out there, no one has to read this. This is just a personal vent that feels like it should be out where people might see it. I have hit bottom. And not in the scary sense but in the sense of my skin. That seems like kind of a lame thing to be whining about because hey lets face it, I live a hugely blessed life. But my skin is terrible. And it won't get better. After thousands of dollars of products (Thanks clarisonic) and so many humiliating trips to the derm I feel like it is never going to get better. Like my acne is going to be there forever, red blotches and poorly applied make up. I feel like I will never get the chance to be pretty. Anyway, this is a terrible rant that I feel embarassed about so sorry about this. I just feel like I will always have icky zits and it depresses me.
I will probably regret this.
So i have been using this doodad for over three months now and I have to say I did not get the fabulous results that everyone else did. It makes my skin softer and prettier and maybe aids in absorption of products but it didn't give me beautiful skin. I have acne in a major sense and after a month and a half of only tiny results from the clarisonic I headed to the derm, something I should have done long ago. She perscribed an anti-biotic, a face wash and retin-a. Of course being that i have terrible luck I had a horrid reaction to the anti-biotic and my esophagus swelled up so I couldn't eat for eight days (which didn't help my already underweight status. Sigh) any way I am on new anti-biotics and my face is getting better. Bottom line on Clarisonic: It will help you if you don't have major skin problems and just want that extra boost. But don't expect a miracle.
So, if I was able to afford this I would wear this to be comfy while I ride out my (seemingly) endless cold/sore throat/ whatever it is. It's for loafing around the house and looking damn good while doing it, while also hiding all the weight I have lost from this damn sickness.
I am doing it. I had to do major catch up because last friday I had five thousand written or somethign very near that number. So I literally unpluged my phone and wrote non stop all weekend and emerged with 26,0000 which I have to say was pretty good. I am on track now with a bit over 30,000. Anyone else on this site doing it? How is it coming for you? Your plot, etc? Just curious and all. . .
p.s. excited for twilight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So despite my pretty darn negative review of it last time, I may be coming around to this baby. I don't know if it is a slow working device with me or what but my acne is (perhaps) clearing up. I don't want to jinx it or anything so I can't say much more, but it may be working! My skin is looking smoother (maybe) and my pores smaller, as well as the few tiny acne scar I have that might be fading. I will keep you updated but I am maybe thinking this ting is worth it after all. Fingers crossed and much love to all!
